THESEUS Study Site GIS database

EID-Mediterranée has worked hard to gather a GIS database from all European study sites of the THESEUS project. We would like to thank each partner for sent us data.

After analysis, the collected data was ordered by country. THESEUS-project partners have access to this data through the Dropbox (in the folder “GIS database”).

Additionally, a .kml file (European_coastal_dunes.kml) was created to visualize the linear distibution of coastal sand dunes for each European country, on Google Earth. This layer is based on the digitalisation (with ArcGIS) of satellite images and has helped to create a revised edition of the 'Sand Dune Inventory of Europe' (Doody ed. 1991).
